Special Issue on “Global Radiation Safety Concern and Management of Radioactive Waste”

Radioactive wastes are wastes that contain radioactive material which are produced from operations in the nuclear fuel cycle in particular from nuclear power generation, from applications in medicine, industry, agriculture and from research and development as well as from nuclear cataclysm of nuclear reactors and other relevant events. The International Commission on Radiological Protection (ICRP) in the context of its recommendations defines waste as any material for which no further use is foreseen.
