Chronic obstructive pneumonia can be a preventable and treatable disease characterized by partially reversible airflow limitation. The Betoken Index is a multidimensional tool that presents as pneumonia composed of four individual variables, capacity measured by a 6-minute walk distance test giving an overall score of 10; divided into four quartiles. It is used to diagnose, assess severity, evaluate general comorbidities, assess response to intervention, and predict mortality due to the disease.
